Athletico Seaview beat Seaview FC in a derby match on Saturday, 28th March 2009 in a 6 on 6. Both sides faced each other for the first time but the result proved to be a crushing blow for the away side.
A day before the match, at a friendly, Ahmed had a exchange of stong words with Usman Mirza
Before the match Ahmed(Seaview FC midfielder) said "We will beat them 20 - 0 easily..." but the home side kept their compusre to produce a magnificent outcome.

Match Details

The fist half was dominated by Athletico Seaview FC, they took the lead in the opening minutes, and mantained their position. Fareed and Asim played the srtiking role that they were expected of. Asim got the break through for Athletico Seaview, on a beautiful long ball played by Usman Mirza. Fareed came in with another goal a few minutes later and secured the lead. Just later Zulqarnain came along with a venomus shot swishing past the goalie and confirmed their victory. Seaview FC got an offensive throw-in which they converted and their striker Salman who reamained unmarked, got an open header and got the consolation goal for Seaview FC. Umer Mirza took responsibility of the defense onwards and from that point onwards Athletico Seaview did not conceed. In the second half that followed Seaview FC got a few chances but Athletico Seaview's massive defense held back their counless attacks and acted as an indestructable barricade. At a point during the second half Seaview aFC striker headed the ball in from the outskirts of the box and the ball was going in but Fahad Baloch made an excellent dive for it and flew upto it and made a finger tip save and restored Athletico Seaview's confidence. After a few substitutions, Ashhad Abbasi went into goal, and the youth was given a chance. Athletico Seaview did well and mantained the score line. Hamza Qadri showed excellent foot work and had great chemistry with Ali Mughal. Asim Baloch made a goal line clearance, Zarak tackled fearlessly and didnt let anyone get through him. The star youth player Hamza mantained the defensive line whereas his brother Ali Mughal scored one goal after the other. Usman Mirza lead the team with his incredible sense of the game due to massive experience while the tired rested on the bench. The match ended with both teams shaking each others' hands, looking forward to the matches to come.
